Seven Things Bigger than Pluto Part 1
Writing, Running, and Ragging on Pluto
While he is overall not a nice person and we should be moving on from him as a celebrity, Neil DeGrasse Tyson was right to kick Pluto out of the solar system. This week we will go over seven larger than Pluto. There are mor than seven, so I am being kind and merciful to the dwarf. The list included moons of four different planets.

Pluto
Today’s thing that is bigger than Pluto is Russia.
Russia’s land mass is equivalent to the surface area of Pluto. However, if we give Russia a planetary mass equal to its percentage of surface of the earth, 3.35%, then Russia ends up more massive than Pluto. Russia would be 200×1021 kg vs Pluto’s 13.3x1021 kg.
I get that people upset over Pluto’s change in status, but that is how science works. We collect new information and make changes. Science is always changing. The things we understand in the universe are always changing. And I promise you that this is ok. This is good, actually. If you still love Pluto then embrace the idea of it being part of a binary with Charon. This gives both objects a unique status and is more scientifically correct than holding on to the past.
