Seven Things Bigger than Pluto Part 4

Writing, Running, and Ragging on Pluto

ALL THESE WORLDS ARE YOURS – EXCEPT EUROPA.
ATTEMPT NO LANDING THERE.” - 2010 - Arthur c Clark

Today’s thing that is bigger than Pluto is Europa.

We are halfway through the week, so lets clear the halfway mark of Jupiter’s moons that are bigger than Pluto. Jupiter has four moon’s bigger than Pluto. Europa is the smallest of them. And for the Pluto-stans, remember, size doesn’t matter.

While relatively small, is utterly fascinating. I am not going to fully into it, these are short posts. But the potential for a saltwater ocean is huge. Mr Clarke was well ahead of his time with how important Europa would be. Because the more we learn about Europa, the more curious we get about it.

I know the main push of these posts is size, but Europa brings up something else we need to note, being interesting. Europa is the most interesting moon in our solar system, and Pluto is just a rock. When you at least call it part of binary, suddenly, it becomes interesting again. It reaches a level of interesting that dwarf’s any grudge you may hold again those who justifiably change the definition of a planet.
